A comparison of Modalism, Trinitarianism, and others to the scriptures.
Monotheism/Modalism/Oneness
Pentecostalism/Sabellianism
Acknowledges
that there is one God and that He is The Lord Jesus Christ, but this doctrine
denies the three in one, that many refer to as the Trinity. Now some information I’m going to use is from
the Got Questions website, but since they don’t use KJV as their default method
of giving scriptures we are going to us the KJV because for the English
language that is God’s word. According to “GotQuestions”: “The core doctrine of Oneness Pentecostal /
Jesus Only is that Jesus is the Father and Jesus is the Spirit. There is one
God who reveals Himself in different ‘modes.’ This teaching of the Jesus Only /
Oneness Pentecostals has been around for centuries, in one form or another, as
modalism. Modalism teaches that God operated in different forms or modes at
different times—sometimes as the Father, sometimes as the Son, and sometimes as
the Holy Spirit. But passages like Matthew 3:16-17, where two or
all three Persons of the Godhead are present, contradict the modalistic view. ”
Now we see that this isn’t right, Jesus doesn’t shapeshift into a Spirit and
then shift again into The Father. From Got Questions under the Sabellian page I
got some info and it says A third-century presbyter named Sabellius began to
emphasize in his church (probably in Rome) the oneness of God, as opposed to
God’s tri-unity. In fact, Sabellius went so far as to say that there are no
distinctions between the “persons” of the Godhead—the one God manifests Himself
at different times and for different purposes in three different “modes” or “aspects.”
This teaching, called “Sabellianism,” grew out of earlier forms of Modalistic
Monarchianism. It also says
that Sabellianism is an unbiblical denial of the eternal distinctions among the
Godhead. On one level, it is easy to see why Sabellianism has been so popular
throughout the centuries—it is certainly much easier to understand Sabellianism
than it is to understand the biblical doctrine of the Godhead, (Got questions
uses the term Trinity which isn’t in the Bible). Also Got Questions says three
persons which is not in scripture either. The Bible never says God is three
persons, this is an interpretation made by men, the Bible presents God as one
God and also speaks of three parts of the Godhead. As difficult as it is to
understand, the Godhead doctrine is the truth and many people incorrectly call
it trinity. The trinity was created by Tertullian who
was born around 0160 AD. According to the “Christianity Roots.com” website it
also incorrectly claims that Yahweh is God; but when we look at the scriptures
it shows that Jehovah is God and there is no mention of Yahweh. https://christianityroots.com/origin-of-trinity/#:~:text=Primary%20Takeaways%201%20Tertullian%20is%20the%20originator%20of,the%20Holy%20Spirit%20as%20a%20divine%20person.%20 If we look at the King James Version of the
Bible doing a word study, we see the name or word Jehovah seven times for the
name of God The Father The LORD.
“And Abraham called the
name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this
day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.”
2. Exodus 6:3
“and I appeared unto
Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God
Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.”
3. Exodus 17:15
“And Moses built an
altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi:”
4. Judges 6:24
“Then Gideon built an
altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto
this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.”
5. Psalm 83:18
“that men may
know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the
most high over all the earth.”
6. Isaiah 12:2
“Behold, God is my
salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my
strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.”
7. Isaiah 26:4
“Trust ye in the Lord for
ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting
strength:”
So from this we see that it is imperative
that we have the CORRECT scriptures, I have no clue where they get Yahweh from
when the Scriptures CLEARLY use the name Jehovah for God The Father. SO back to
the subject at hand, we see that the Godhead has three parts. Lets look at some
scriptures.
Matthew
3:16-17
Authorized
(King James) Version
“And
Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the
heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a
dove, and lighting upon him: 17 and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
1 John 5:7-9
Authorized (King James) Version
“For there are three that bear record in heaven,
the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And
there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the
blood: and these three agree in one. 9 If we
receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the
witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.” KJV.
Colossians 2:8-9
Authorized (King James) Version
“8 Beware lest any man spoil
you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the
rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For
in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” KJV.
Some verses that show The Godhead and its 3 parts:
Genesis
1:26
“And God
said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the
cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth
upon the earth.” KJV.
We are made
in God’s image, after His likeness, but we see the plurality of God in Genesis
1:26, now there is one God but He has three distinct parts that are part of His
being and these parts can interact with each other but it is NOT three persons.
Jesus is the express image of His (God’s) person.
Genesis
3:22
Authorized
(King James) Version
“22 And
the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and
evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life,
and eat, and live for ever:”
Genesis
11:7
Authorized
(King James) Version
“7 Go to,
let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand
one another’s speech.”
John 14:16
Authorized
(King James) Version
“And I
will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may
abide with you for ever;”
Psalm 2:7
Authorized
(King James) Version
“7 I will
declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me,
Thou art
my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”
John 1
Authorized
(King James) Version
“1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the
beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him;
and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
Psalm
104:30
Authorized
(King James) Version
“30 Thou
sendest forth thy spirit, they are created:
and thou
renewest the face of the earth.”
Psalm
110:1
Authorized
(King James) Version
Psalm 110
A Psalm of
David.
“The LORD
said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand,
until I
make thine enemies thy footstool.”
Matthew
28:19
Authorized
(King James) Version
“Go ye
therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
But we see
in Acts they were baptized in the name of The Lord Jesus, or the name of The
Lord, or in the name of Jesus Christ, which is just 3 different ways of the
same thing.
Acts 19:5
Authorized
(King James) Version
“When they heard this,
they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 2:38
Authorized
(King James) Version
“Then
Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of
Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost.”
Acts 8:16
“(for as
yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the
Lord Jesus.)”
Acts 10:48
“And he
commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry
certain days.”
Hebrews
1:3
“who being
the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding
all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins,
sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” KJV.
Hebrews
1:8
“But unto
the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of
righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.” KJV
Hebrews 1
”God, who at
sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the
prophets, 2 hath in these last days spoken unto us
by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom
also he made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness
of his glory, and the express image of his person, and
upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged
our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 being
made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more
excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the
angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And
again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And
again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let
all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the
angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of
fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy
throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of
righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou
hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy
God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10 And,
Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the
heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 they shall
perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 and
as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art
the same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to
which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make
thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all
ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of
salvation?” KJV.
Isaiah 43:10-13
Authorized (King James) Version
“Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord,
and my servant whom I have chosen:
that ye may know and believe me,
and understand that I am he:
before me there was no God formed,
neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am the Lord;
and beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared, and have saved,
and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among
you:
therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.
13 Yea, before the day was I am he;
and there is none that can deliver out of my hand:
I will work, and who shall let it?”
Isaiah 42:8
“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to
another, neither my praise to graven images.”
Unitarianism/Monarchianism
Unitarianism
according to information from Got Questions is that it believes in one God, but
that they reject the Trinity and deity of Christ. Now this is a heresy. The
Lord Jesus Christ is GOD manifest in the flesh.
Something
that Monarchianism and Modalistic Monarchianism. Dynamic Monarchianism started
with an errant view of the nature of Jesus, specifically, that He was not God
but was, at His baptism, empowered by God to do the wonders He did. Now this is
a heresy because Jesus is God manifest in the flesh. Modalistic Monarchianism,
on the other hand, took the modalistic view that Jesus was God, but only by
virtue of the fact that Jesus was one of God’s “manifestations.” According to
Monarchianism, the Logos (Word) of God has no separate, personal existence of
its own. The biblical terms Father, Son, and Spirit are only different names
for the same Person, according to the Monarchian. Dynamic Monarchianism is so
called because it has to do with the source of Jesus’ miracles (Greek,
dynameis). Jesus of Nazareth was virgin-born, according to the Dynamic
Monarchian, but according to their heresy they claim He was a mere man whose
piety was rewarded with special attention from God. When Jesus was baptized,
God came upon Him and filled Him with such godly wisdom and power that, from
then on, Jesus was a miracle-worker. Dynamic Monarchianism is also called Adoptionism
because it views Jesus as being “adopted” as God’s Son at the moment of His
empowering. Thus, according to Dynamic Monarchianism which is heretical, Jesus
is not God’s “only begotten Son”. This is refuted by John 3:16 proving their
beliefs to be false.
John 3:16
Authorized
(King James) Version
“For God
so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Some Dynamic
Monarchians believed that Jesus never was divine; others believed that Jesus
became God after His resurrection. Some bad stuff. Jesus Christ is God. Dynamic
Monarchians are heretics. Lets see some truth from the scriptures:
Titus 2:13
“looking
for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our
Saviour Jesus Christ;”
“Simon Peter, a servant and an
apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us
through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus
Christ:”
John 1:1-3
Authorized (King James) Version
“In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with
God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that
was made.”
John 1:14
Authorized (King James) Version
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt
among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth.”
1 Timothy
3:16
Authorized
(King James) Version
“And
without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the
flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
So with
these scriptures its quite clear that Jesus is God and always has been and we
know He always will be.
From Got
Questions which I paraphrased at the end:
“Unitarianism should also be distinguished
from Modalism, which is also non-Trinitarian. Modalism teaches
that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three modes of existence for the One God.
Modalism is found today in the United Pentecostal
Church. While both
Modalism and Unitarianism are non-Trinitarian, Modalists affirm the deity of
Christ. Unitarians teach that Jesus was an inspired man, a great teacher, and an
example to follow but [they believe that He is] certainly not God.” Now we KNOW
from the scriptures that Jesus is God. If they’d only open up their Bibles they
can see in plain English this is infallible and truth that Jesus is God.
“to whom also he shewed himself alive
after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of
them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:”
Ditheism/Bitheism
or Dualism
After a quick
glance at entries from Got Questions. Oh man this is horrible. They think two separate entities—good and evil—which are
equally powerful. In “Christian” dualism, God represents the good entity and
satan represents the evil entity. First off, satan is a created being and is
nowhere close to being as powerful as God is. God doesn’t have an equal. So
right away we see this is an extremely horrible heresy. satan was an angel who
had a pride issue thinking he could be like the most High who is The LORD
(Jehovah) or Jesus.
Isaiah
14:12-15
Authorized
(King James) Version
“How art
thou fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer,
son of the morning!
how art
thou cut down to the ground,
which
didst weaken the nations!
13 For
thou hast said in thine heart,
I will
ascend into heaven,
I will
exalt my throne above the stars of God:
I will sit
also upon the mount of the congregation,
in the
sides of the north:
14 I will
ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be
like the most High.
15 Yet
thou shalt be brought down to hell,
to the
sides of the pit.”
Ezekiel
28:13-17
Authorized
(King James) Version
“Thou hast
been in Eden the garden of God;
every
precious stone was thy covering,
the
sardius, topaz, and the diamond,
the beryl,
the onyx, and the jasper,
the sapphire,
the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold:
the
workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes
was
prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou
art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so:
thou wast
upon the holy mountain of God;
thou hast
walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou
wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created,
till
iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the
multitude of thy merchandise
they have
filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned:
therefore
I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God:
and I will
destroy thee, O covering cherub,
from the
midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine
heart was lifted up because of thy beauty,
thou hast
corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:
I will
cast thee to the ground,
I will lay
thee before kings, that they may behold thee.”
According to Scripture, there is no
dualism, this seems like the Asian yin and yang concept, definitely not
scriptural. Good, represented by God Almighty, is the most powerful force in
the universe without exception. Evil, represented by Satan, is a lesser force
that is no match and not even comparable. God’s goodness and righteousness and
power is far more than anything satan could compete with. I have no idea why
someone would think this doctrine is true, unless they’re a closeted satanist.
Disgusting.
Binitarianism
It is the belief that the one true
God exists as two Persons (the Father and the Son). Binitarianism
teaches that the Holy Spirit is actually just another name for Jesus—more to
the point, that Jesus is simply the Spirit incarnate. Now there is SOME and I
say SOME truth to this. Jesus is the child of The Holy Ghost.
Matthew
1:18
“Now the
birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to
Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.”
1 Peter
1:10-11
Authorized
(King James) Version
“Of which
salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of
the grace that should come unto you: 11 searching what, or what manner of time
the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified
beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.”
Romans 8:9
Authorized
(King James) Version
“But ye
are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell
in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
My
understanding of this based on the Got Questions entry is that the
Binitarianism believers believe that There is just Father and Son and that Jesus
is The Holy Spirit, therefore weirdly including all three parts of the Godhead
but sort of merging the Holy Spirit and Jesus; its weird. The truth is that God
has 3 parts but is 1. I believe it to be a body, a soul and a Spirit; the man
Christ Jesus is God’s physical body that walked the earth, taught people,
healed people, fulfilled the prophecies that He fulfilled and will fulfill more
at a later time, and that He died on the cross for our sins, was buried and
rose again on the third day according to the scriptures. God’s body is the
physical way we could see Him on earth and that God’s body is Jesus, so if we
were here during His earthly ministry and see Jesus we see God manifest in the
flesh. In Jesus’ body is The Father the soul of the Godhead and The Holy Ghost
which is Jesus’ Spirit; and that these three are one and are parts of how God
is. Now I don’t call this trinitarianism because I don’t want to use the words
“three persons” because to me that would seem like there is three Gods and
there isn’t. Jehovah The Father is The LORD God, The only Begotten Son of The Father
is the Word and is God and the Holy Spirit is God; but it isn’t three people
simply because a Spirit is not a physical person and Jesus is a physical person
and God. Lets look at:
Luke
24:36-40
Authorized
(King James) Version
“And as
they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them,
Peace be unto you. 37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that
they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why
do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I
myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me
have. 40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.”
Trinitarianism
Now with this
belief, it seems to be a very popular one. Lets examine this SCRIPTURALLY.
There are lots of truth to the plurality of God there are definitely three
distinct parts about God that the scriptures show us. There is The Father, The
Word (The only Begotten Son), and The Holy Ghost and that these three are one.
But using terms that DO NOT appear in scripture, even to describe an idea we
need to be careful to NOT ADD to the scriptures with doctrines or words of man.
God didn’t call Himself a Trinity, nor is that word used, neither is the term “God
in three persons” it doesn’t say God is three persons, it says that Jesus is
the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person. Lets look at a
full scripture:
Hebrews 1:3
“who being
the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding
all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins,
sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”
We need to be
careful with men’s interpretations, especially those concerning things that are
used by heretical groups such as the Catholics; we NEED to compare EVERYTHING
to the SCRIPTURES because the scriptures are God’s word. Let God be true but
every man a liar.
Romans 3:4
“God
forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou
mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art
judged.”
Colossians
2:8-9
Authorized
(King James) Version
“Beware
lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition
of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him
dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
And to not
think of God as three Gods but one God that is composed of three distinct
parts, even the word “parts” is not in the scriptures but it is a better
selection than “persons” because three persons implies three separate beings or
Gods each with a body, a soul, and a spirit. There are definitely interaction
in the members of the Godhead (that means modalism is wrong) but to say that
The Holy Spirit is a person (which implies that He has a body which is different
than Jesus’ body, soul, and spirit of His own as well) is not the correct
interpretation. A person has a body, soul, and spirit. Jesus’ body is God’s
body, The Father is Jesus’ soul (The Father is IN Him and Jesus is the express
IMAGE of the invisible God Jehovah), and The Holy Ghost is God’s Spirit which
is IN Christ Jesus as well.
1 John
5:7-8
Authorized
(King James) Version
“For there
are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:
and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the
Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”
Notice “these
three are one”, vs “these three agree in one”. Three are one meaning these
three are parts of one being, vs three separate beings such as the Spirit, and
the water, and the blood, and these three agree in one.
The Godhead is something that many
Christians don’t understand, this is why there are so many ways people try to
interpret this especially as we’ve examined in this study, and there’s very
likely even more ways that are not covered in this study. God is infinitely
greater than we are; therefore, we wont be fully capable to fully understand
Him and what God is able to do, He is able to do more than we can even think.
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the
power that worketh in us,”
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen,
nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which
God hath prepared for them that love him.”
“For since the beginning of the world men have not heard,
nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen,
O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for
him that waiteth for him.”
When you think of it, God not only
created all things, but think of how many people there are in the world, out of
all the billions of people ever created or however more will be created God
knows every thought and word that was ever thought or spoken or ever will be
thought or spoken for instance from all people and has all knowledge including
knowledge that is way beyond our comprehension or any other being’s
comprehension. That’s a lot of information and we haven’t even gotten to the
elements, or the physics or chemistry or biology although these are man’s terms
and man’s understanding of things but God created the Heavens and the Earth and
how the things work in them. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that
Jesus Christ is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also teaches
that there is only one God.
As we have
previously covered in this study, even this section, I want to reiterate that The
Bible never says God is three persons, this is an interpretation made by men
that research suggests was started by Tertullian. The Bible presents God as one
God and also speaks of three parts of the Godhead, now the word “parts” isn’t
used either, but this is saying that God is composed of The Father, The Word
aka The Son, and The Holy Ghost aka Holy Spirit. Yes I’m repeating myself, but
we see there is some truth in some aspects of the trinity doctrine in that they
interact with eachother and can be in different places at the same time which
shows that the Modalism type doctrines to be not the true depiction but to say
that there are three separate persons I feel is changing God’s nature and is
therefore incorrect as well.
As difficult
as it is to understand, the Godhead doctrine is the truth and many people
incorrectly call it trinity and those who are really into the trinity will call
it modalism; but with those who believe the trinity may or may not believe the
correct things but call it “trinity” for arguments sake such as say Peter Ruckman.
The trinity was created by Tertullian who was born around 0160 AD. According to
the “Christianity Roots.com” website it also incorrectly claims that Yahweh is
God; but when we look at the scriptures (The Authorized [King James] Version) it
shows that Jehovah is God and more specifically the name for God The Father,
and there is no mention of Yahweh at least in the Authorized Version of the
Bible which is called the King James Bible. This is the importance of having a
correct Bible not tainted by man.
CONCLUSION
To conclude,
the most important things a person needs to understand is that Jesus Christ is
God and is the Saviour of the world and to have faith in the Gospel, because
right now we are saved by grace through faith. Believing that Jesus Christ is
God is essential to believing the Gospel and that is because God personally manifest
in the flesh and had His body die on the cross and its His literal and physical
blood that was shed and that He was buried and rose again on the third day. If
Jesus wasn’t God, then He couldn’t have been the perfect sinless sacrifice to
be the propitiation. Jesus Christ is God.
Acts
4:8-12
Authorized
(King James) Version
“Then
Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and
elders of Israel, 9 if we this day be examined of the good deed done to the
impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10 be it known unto you all, and
to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom
ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand
here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you
builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation
in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.”
“Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but]
he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”

“For by

Romans
3:23-26
Authorized

“23 for

set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his
righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance
of God; 26 to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be
just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”

Corinthians 15:1-4
Authorized
(King James) Version
“Moreover,
brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also
ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 by which also ye are saved, if ye
keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For
I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 and that he was buried, and
that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
And
Romans
10:8-13
Authorized
(King James) Version
“But what
saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is,
the word of faith, which we preach; 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the
scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there
is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is
rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved.”
Basically we
can conclude that most importantly we need to be reading the scriptures as they
are the truth of the matter and if a doctrine is refuted by the scriptures then
it is not correct doctrine. If a twisting or manipulation of the scriptures
occurs that is also a false doctrine. Many “scholars” as well as people who are
not saved, or malicious people intending to interfere with God’s word and
doctrines, or people who just simply have no clue what they’re talking about
have unfortunately creeped in.
